Renormalisation and the Batalin-vilkovisky Formalism
This paper gives a way to renormalise certain quantum field theories on compact manifolds. We give a conceptual formulation of Kontsevich’s ‘dual construction’ producing graph cohomology classes from a differential graded Frobenius algebra with an odd scalar product. Our construction – whilst equivalent to the original one – is combinatorics-free and is based on the Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism, from which its gauge-independence is immediate.

متن کاملThe Batalin-vilkovisky Formalism on Fermionic Kähler Manifolds
We show that the Kähler structure can be naturally incorporated in the Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism. The phase space of the BV formalism becomes a fermionic Kähler manifold. By introducing an isometry we explicitly construct the fermionic irreducible hermitian symmetric space. We then give some solutions of the master equation in the BV formalism.
